Building On The Built: Tuckey Design Studio
Practice Retrospective - June 2016
In the Summer of 2016 Tuckey Design Studio exhibited a retrospective of the studio’s work within vacant premises in King’s Cross loaned to the practice by Argent, the practice’s client for their work within the nearby Gasholders residential development.
The exhibition presented an array of models at various scales and states of resolution, alongside drawings and photographs, produced over the past decade by Jonathan Tuckey's studio. Fragments of individual interventions sat alongside larger ensembles of projects shown within their wider context.
In parallel to the exhibition the space hosted a series of talks and discussions on the the theme of 'Building on the Built'. A series of breakfast talks were hosted by Eddie Heathcote, Chris Foges and Kieran Long. A series of evening talks were given by Fred Scott, John McKean, Kevin Brennan and Victor Lopez Cotelo.
It is this series of public events thats continues in the present format.
